Rolling With the Resident Evil Series!

A mild movie evening, this was.  I will admit that I have not gotten into all of the hype of the Resident Evil films, so seeing Resident Evil:  Afterlife was more or less so-so, for me.  There was excitement to it, though!

Alice (Milla Jovovich) returns for daring crusades to destroy vampires.  She has been exploring the remains of the planet after the last extinction event that nearly eliminated all of humanity.  Alice means to find surviving humans, yet she finds herself again entangled with the sinister schemings of Umbrella Corporation.  Her journeys have included several encounters and battles with mutated humans that now are vampires due to the previous viral mutation.  Alice heads into the ravaged remains of Los Angeles, attempting to find Albert Wesker (Shawn Roberts), who has been the leader of Umbrella Corporation.

Upon arrival in Los Angeles, Alice is confronted immediately by blood-thirsty vampires.  A brief battle occurs, and Alice is able to find help from local human survivors.  These people have remained hidden after the vampires’ conquest, uncertain of how to proceed in order to restore some semblance of humanity.

Knowing that Umbrella means to catch her for the control factors within her DNA, Alice is prepared to battle the bloodthirsty businessmen.  She does not have the immediate assistance of Claire (Ali Larter), who remains destitute after suffering through amnesia.  Yet, Alice does have the help of survivor leader Luther West (Boris Kodjoe) and Claire’s brother, Chris (Wentworth Miller).

Once combining with this team, Alice leads toward Umbrella Corporation’s Tokyo headquarters.  Upon reaching Japan, the battles with the bloodsuckers ensue.  All of them are found in a fight situation that appears to have the settings for a film continuation!

A man went to his doctor for a check-up.  During the session, the man was told that he had to stop masturbating.  The man curiously asked why.  The doctor replied, “because I am trying to examine you”…..  (Robin Williams, from Late Night With David Letterman).
